Salt Air Palace and Salt Flats Bridal Session
Why do I always do this guys? Why do I have incredible sessions and then hesitate to blog them? I think blogging is kind of overwhelming for me because I am not a great writer. So anytime I have a killer session that I am excited to blog, I just keep procrastinating.
Well speaking of procrastinating, this session is a perfect example! Kelsey and Seth are living in Southern Utah and since I am in Northern Utah we just keep procrastinating their bridal session. We finally scheduled it for two weeks before their wedding (which was already pushing it). Then of course the day of their session we get some stupid rain wind storm. It seriously lasted for like 6 hours and that was all. That’s what you get for procrastinating.
We rescheduled for LITERALLY THE NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING! What were we thinking? HAHAHAHA But that was one of the reasons I loved Kelsey. Her attitude was pretty much like, “IDGAF. IM GETTING MARRIED THE NEXT DAY, I DON’T CARE, LETS DOO IT!” And that made her perfect because I don’t take myself too seriously and I have a deeper appreciation for this kind of “winging-it-ness”.
Then we had another wonderful surprise the evening we were supposed to shoot……
KELSEY RIPPED HER DRESS ON HER WAY TO THE SESSION!
Her mom tried to pin everything together so we could get through the session. She ended up stabbing herself and getting blood on Kelsey’s dress. But again, Kelsey just laughed it off like some beaded salt flat sorceress without a dang care. We only shot for about 30 minutes to make sure they could get the dress to a seamstress before the wedding the next day. (Because remember how we were so dumb and waited until the literal last chance to shoot her bridals??)
Then we missed the most perfect sunset I had ever seen because we only shot until like 7:45 PM. haha Thanks God for teaching us to be more responsible or we will suffer.
In all seriousness though, I love these images. Kelsey are Seth are wonderful and I LOVED shooting with them. When people are happy my job is just the best ever even if everything else felt like it went wrong!
