Under Canvas Moab // Anniversary Session

Heyo!

Today I remembered this incredible anniversary session from earlier in the year and realized I never even blogged it! Dead Horse Point, Under Canvas Moab, Utah red rock, wHaT?! I know. I don’t know what took me so long.

Emily and Pat are from D.C. and were out visiting and exploring Utah staying in the awesome Under Canvas Moab campground (more like Glamp-ground) for their anniversary. I love couples who prioritize seeing places and going on trips. You grow together so much when you experience different places together. Traveling with your partner is just an awesome marriage practice. haha

Anniversary gifts are great and all, but there is truly nothing like going on a trip and traveling together! One of my favorite quotes is:

“Some people are so poor, all they have is money.”

When I read that I was like, “FREAKING BAM! TRUTH!” I absolutely love the concept behind the idea that wealth is in quality of live and experiences. Not in dollar bills! I get that money is an essential part of life, but I once worked a 9-5 that left me drained, exhausted, and just not happy. I was making a ton of money and thought I had it so good because I was buying a new car, and lived in a cool apartment. I went shopping whenever I wanted and always had fancy food. But then the longer I was there the more exhausted I got. I couldn’t leave work long enough to actually spend my money on visiting anywhere I wanted to go. I bought an awesome adventure car but never got to adventure with it because I was always working. I started to realize how this isn’t what I truly wanted.

So I quit. It was weird and scary and I still don’t make even close to 1/2 as much as I did there, but I FREAKIN LOVE MY BRIDES! I love capturing love; I love helping brides makes their dreams a reality; AND I LOVE TAKING PICTURES! I am beyond blessed to connect with people from all over the world and capture their stories.

That was a crazy tangent, but Emily and Pat were another couple who just made me realize how happy I was and how much I love this life!

Here are some of my favorite frames from their session at Under Canvas Moab, and Dead Horse Point!
